I purchased RDP 41-3509 in July 08. I believe the 3 stands for the 2nd year of production and the 09 is the 9th 41' roamer of that year. Does anyone know what the 5 stands for? Dave

The aluminum hulls seem to all be RDP-41 series. They started -5** in 1967 then were -25** in 1968, -35** in 1969 and -45** in 1970.

So your boat would be aluminum hull, 9th hull (of 10) built in 1969. This would be the 3rd year of production for aluminum 41's and the 5th year if you include the 2 previous years of (RDA-41 series) steel hulled boats.

This info from what I ascertain from the Chris Craft Essential Guide book.

    Hi Dave,
Our 41 Roamer was listed as a 1970 on the title yet when we visited the good folks at LPX sales in Bradenton they puled out our sea trials! Our boat was built and sea trialed in May of 1969 serial number RDP-41-3510. I would ask Jim Wick if he has the data on your boat. It must have rolled off the line a week or so before ours!
