How To Go Water Skiing With 144 Of Your Closest Friends Last Friday in Tasmania, a few people decided to go water skiing. But instead of taking separate boats, they they all figured to save time and go together. According to The Daily Mail, 154 people were tethered behind a single boat in the hopes of breaking a world record. The organizers enlisted a 114 foot catamaran with slight modifications to accomodate all of the participants. In order to beat the world record, the skiers needed to stay upright for one nautical mile, which is just slightly longer than a mile on land. Only nine of the skiers fell down, but the 145 that made it handily beat the previous record of 114 people.
