"Horizon Polaris" gets much attention since launch

The new Horizon EP148 "Horizon Polaris" has received much attention since her debut at the 2012 Horizon Open House in June, where members of the media, VIP guests and Horizon owners were able to get the first glimpse into Horizon’s megayacht milestone.

The EP148 was originally slated to be displayed at the 2012 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in October; however, due to an increase in recent sales activity with European and Asian clients, Horizon decided to keep her at the shipyard to further explore the recent interest as well as allow clients to sea trial her in Taiwan if required. Designed for worldwide exploration, the Horizon EP148 Horizon Polaris superyacht features long-range cruising capabilities and exceptional performance and reliability ensconced in all the comforts and styling of a luxury yacht. Since Horizon Polaris’ launch earlier this summer, Horizon has successfully completed five sea trials for the Horizon flagship; among these sea trials was a journey to Pong Hu, an island off of Taiwan, for an extended 2-day cruise crucial to examining the EP148’s durability and operational performance.

Throughout the EP148 Horizon Polaris sea trial, professional QC engineers from all departments conducted rigorous and extensive testing on all mechanical systems – including stability tests, speed tests, vibration tests, zero stabilizer tests, turning radius tests, steering tests – as well as tested all facilities and equipment on board for successful operation. The EP148’s performance was outstanding during her sea trial with a maximum speed of 16 knots, and she offered a cruising range of 4640 nautical miles at 9 knots.

Possible sale pending from the Sydney Boat Show...

In the last two years, Australian has become one of Horizon’s main markets, so when the time came for the 45thSydney International Boat Show in Darling Harbor from Aug. 2nd– 6th,Horizon Motor Yacht Australia (HMYA), the Australian partner for Horizon Group, made sure Horizon was well-represented with three luxury yachts on display: the Horizon P110 tri-deck, CC80 catamaran and E56 motoryacht.

The 110-foot Horizon tri-deck was the largest motoryacht on display during the show and was extremely popular, receiving attention from not only show visitors but from international and local media as well. Standing out among her competitors, the E56 proved she will be a motoryacht in high demand for Australia’s market, and the CC80 was praised throughout the show for her craftsmanship and interior fit and finish as a luxury catamaran.

HMYA was overwhelmed by the positive responses the three Horizon yachts received during the show and are pleased to announce they expect the Horizon 110 tri-deck to be sold within the coming weeks! After a successful 2012 Sydney Boat Show, Horizon Group and HMYA are looking forward to the interest and activity with Horizon yachts to continue for months to come.

Horizon E88 to Showcase at 2012 Cannes International Boat Show 

Horizon Group will display the Horizon E88 Arabella II at the 2012 Cannes International Boat Show from September 11thto 16th in Cannes, France. Arabella II is a Horizon E88 Skylounge model and features a highly spacious four stateroom, four en-suite head layout allots owners and guests privacy on board.

As the most popular series offered by Horizon, the E series has proven versatile enough to satisfy almost any yachting lifestyle and has expanded through the years to include luxury yachts from 54-94 feet. More recently the Horizon E88 model, which is offered in both an open bridge and skylounge version, has become a favorite -- her sleek superstructure, performance-oriented hull and elegant styling attract many clients from around the world. Since her launch at FLIBS 2010, Horizon has delivered four E88’s and another three are currently under construction, with completion set for 2013.

3rd Horizon Cat completes sea trials.

The third Horizon PC60 successfully completed its first sea trial in mid-October in Kaohsiung harbor.

This new PC60 is a product of the Horizon design team and features a more light-weight design. During the sea trial, the PC60, which is equipped with two CAT C12A 715HP engines, cruised at 16 knots and reached a top speed of 24 knots under full displacement. One of the U.S. Horizon Preferred Partners who specializes in catamarans was impressed with both the performance of this new PC60 and Horizon’s progressive attitude towards yacht building.

Utilizing Angre wood as the main interior design element, this PC60 features an overall elegant and stylish interior. The layout has been altered from previous models -- the salon is even more spacious and comfortable as the interior staircase to the flybridge was not included, and the aft starboard storage room has been transformed into a crew room, providing a more flexible space.

This PC60 will deliver to the United States in mid-November of this year and will showcase at the 2013 Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show – we invite you to come experience her in-person at the show!

Horizon offering an optional enclosed flybridge on the E62 model...

Due to increasing customer demand, the Horizon Group has evolved the Horizon E62 model to now offer both optional enclosed bridge and cockpit motoryacht versions. The enclosed bridge version of the Horizon E62 offers plenty of space up top to entertain family and friends without worrying about the weather, and the cockpit version, which takes the LOA from 62 to 69 feet, provides a safe, functional area perfect for water activities and sports. A hydraulic hi/lo platform can also be added to the cockpit motoryacht version for a total length of 72 feet.

Horizon recently completed and sea trialed a new E62 built with the enclosed bridge and cockpit for a Japanese client, and with twin MAN 1360 engines she reached a top speed of 30 knots! Her interior décor was customized by her owner, who visited the shipyard several times for interior discussions, and features White Oak wood complemented by neutral-colored leathers, fabrics and marbles, creating an elegant light and airy feel to the yacht.

Spring deliveries for Horizon!

Horizon’s 2013 activity continues into the spring season, with three popular models – the Horizon RP105 raised-pilothouse, E70 motoryacht and PC60 power catamaran – nearing completion and set for delivery to their new owners in Australia, Hong Kong and Japan in May.

The PC60 is the first of the three yachts to complete her final tests and sea trial in Kaohsiung Harbor on April 15th; she is the first PC60 built with the enclosed skylounge, which provides her new owner with increased interior space to enjoy with his family and guests, as well as the first PC60 to deliver to Australia. The E70 Lee Kum Kee, destined for Hong Kong which will attend Hong Kong Gold Coast boat show, and the RP105 AGORA, destined for Japan, are scheduled for final testing and sea trials later this month and will deliver to their respective new owners shortly after. We wish the new owners of the RP105, E70 and PC60 happy cruising and many adventures on board their new Horizon yachts!
