Hoeks J-Class Revival

January 21, 2008:Hoek Design News: With the J-Class Lionheart well underway in construction for a launch in 2009, the Hoek Design studios has other similarly classed sailers well positioned in the pipeline. The second project for the Hoek team will be a replica of Tore Holm design, 'Svea'.

According to Hoek, "Svea's hull will most probably be built in Holland and the yacht will then be finished at a Sweedish yard." The Svea is said to be geared for a consortium of Dutch and Sweedish owners who will utilize the vessel for corporate races. Apart from the Svea, Hoek has another J-class design.

The third vessel is to be a replica of a never built super J-class by Franck Paine. Hoek revealed that the design will be formulated in keeping with Lionheart. He further stated that, "she will be another very strong contender in this exciting and expanding fleet of J-class yachts."
