I could really use a hand folks.
We have an EPlex Vessel Monitoring System (tankage, engine/generator guages, etc.) which was installed by Maritron in Florida about 7 years ago. The clock, which is the central point of communication for the monitoring modules, has stopped communicating. Maritron flew to the boat and concluded that the only solution is to upgrade the system to the next version (pretty much a whole new system); I will consider this soon, but I am looking for a replacement clock as a stop-gap fix. We are currently in Chicago and plan to start heading down the St. Lawrence Seaway this week. It's about 3500 miles back to Florida and it sure would be nice to be able to have this system up and running for the trip.
If anyone has a lead on where I might be able to beg, borrow, or steal one of these critters, I will certainly be grateful for the help.

The clock was made by a company called ED&D and they called it a 239SLP Panel Clock.

Have you contacted ED&D directly to ask them if their new clock module is backwards compatible or if they can fix your old one?

The tech from Maritron told me that the newer clocks are not compatible and that the old one is not serviceable because the components are all enclosed in some type of hardened resin. In the mean time we've sent emails to the company in London who purchased E-Plex. We'll follow up with a call tomorrow.
I'm hoping that someone will have a used one that was removed during an upgrade, or that someone happens to know a tech who has a brand new one sitting in a box in his garage somewhere.

    Hi,

Ken, If you get really stuck send me an e mail.

I know a bloke in NZ who made a new Chrysler Outboard black box after digging out all the components. He is still working in the electronics business so he might take that challenge on.

I will be happy to pass you his details which I will start looking for now.
