  1. 50-meter Project 'Alba' Sold At Heesen
Construction is apace on one of the newest 50-meter projects Dutch luxury yacht builder Heesen is building. This one is going by the name 'Alba' -that's just the Project name though-. She is being built as YN18050 in all-aluminum with a sleek design by Omega Architects. The interior on the other hand is by a now familiar name with these 50-meter Heesen builds - Paszkowski ring a bell?- That's right, Francesco Paszkowski is once again tasked with designing the interior of this new yacht. The signing now represents the third 50-meter of this particular hull he has been appointed to design.
  2. The hull was already started with the keel laid before the signing took place so the experienced owner of this build will have a slight headstart on the delivery date. Accommodation onboard Project Alba is expected to be fairly standard in terms of layout. There is a six cabin arrangement that will see the master stateroom forward on the main deck while the other five guest cabins are below on the lower deck. The master in particular is expected to benefit from the nearly 30-foot beam that this yacht presents and with those thermo-bonded windows at the sides, it will be the prized accommodation spot onboard.
  3. The interior that Paszkowski is tasked with producing is to be in modern taste. Leathers and stonework in the cabins while alternating light and pale tones with dark contrasting materials and lacquered finishes are expected to dominate in the social areas. Although the precise engine package has not been mentioned as yet, it should be a duo of MTU diesels. They are powerful enough to drive this 50-meter yacht to a top speed of 23-knots. Project Alba should be able to take you across the Atlantic too but at continuously sedated speed to realize a potential 3,100 nautical mile range. She now has an owner and delivery is slated for the first month in 2018!
