A recent survey of U.S. high school students drew mostly blank stares as to it's meaning. Among the guesses were the end of the Civil War, women getting the right to vote and independence from Canada. I myself once made a date with 2 girls for 8PM of the 4th of July and 1 on Independence day. Thought I had a problem. Then realized I had a big problem. Hid until 9. Happy 4th (Independence Day).
