Imagine if such a fire were to occur in Monaco during the race week end. I wonder if the fire crew could even get the safety rails and fence out if the way to get to the boats

Having 400 F1 trained firecrew around is a lot more desirable than the usual Sapeurs-Pompier that turn up at a scene and do nothing but keep people away while a boat burns to the waterline.

Fire on the water. We are glad that no human fatalities were accounted for in this event. That would have been tragic. No one ever desires to have a fire hit their boat for sure. Always have an emergency plan and be prepared. Things could have turned out a lot worse. Thank heavens it didn't.
