Has anybody devised a method for hoisting a golf cart on deck? I've searched the internet and found nothing. I then contacted UMT in Ft. Lauderdale, they want nearly $8K for an un tested contraption. Any ideas or suggestions? We have an old 2-davit system on deck. J
There was a 117' Delta called Gatster (ex. Rainbow, currently Annastar) that carried a golf cart. Maybe someone has some photos.
Try contacting the golf cart manufacturers. They should have straps made to hoist them up and such. $8,000 is a lot more than most golf carts are worth. You might want to check into a platform it sits on with straps and life the whole thing up.
...so, after finishing the last bottle, one of the feistier members of the bunch suggested a trip to the owner's residence to procure more from the stash. "But, that's way over on the other side of Cat." "You're right, we'll need transportation." "Oh, no...you're not going to..." "Yep, I know how to hotwire them things....take me thirty seconds..." Of course, without knowledge as to how the headlights worked, it was only a matter of time before they unluckily ran over the edge of the seawall Oops. Sorry. Thought the thread read 'Golf Cart Heist'
Isn't there a Broward called Anticipation that carries a small car on the upper deck (I think two cars with the davit between them)? Maybe that can give you an idea for the golf cart.
