    Hi there!

Are there any manufacturers that make futuristic/exclusive/unusual boats like for example wally (www.*********) ?

    Question number two:
I was in Visby harbour in Sweden last summer and saw a very futuristic sailboat that looked "fully automatic" with the sail folding into to mast and everyting else operatied from the bridge with electric motors. Any ideas which model a saw? It looked like a christmas three with a lots of lights and (of course) dark windows.

    Thanks /Lasse

    Hi Lasse,

    Welcome to the YachtForums!

Your first question, Wally is alone in marketing only this style of boats, but there are many others who build extreme boats to orders.

Wally is a marketing concept where they are sourcing design and shipyards for each project, all with the supervision from the founder Luca Bassani in order to maintain a special style. As such, they are pretty unique.

The yacht you saw in Visby could be any yacht from Nautor/Swan or Baltic, there were a few here last summer as the buyers often go to Finland to pick them up.

It can also have been the Huisman built Juliet, but she is not so modern in her styling, only in her equipment. Here is a picture, she was built in 1993 and is 43.5 m and has two masts with roll-in sails.

    /Lars
