    Hi,

Large Scale production boat builder may give an indication of their boats fuel range.

Other than that I would say that a table such as that which you are asking about doesn't exist as such.

There can be so many variables between boats that are "the same" that the only way to accurately tell fuel consumption is to measure it on the exact boat in various load and weather conditions.

I was on a boat once where on a journey between Gibraltar and Tortola at 12 kts we used betwen 50 and 52,000 lts of fuel, the Chief on the sister ship ( albeit 2m shorter ) told me they used 57,000 on the same journey, the differences being different engine manufacturers and we had inboard turning props

    Hi steved57:

As K1W1 mentions, engines are your main variable for fuel consumption.
Look for the various manufacturer's propeller load curves in their fuel data, pick your RPM, and multiply by the number of engines to get a good approximation of total burn. Mix in your fuel tankage to get range. Add a grain or two of salt.
    Results may vary.

    Hi,

Loren, you might want to add a disclaimer that you didn't mean add salt to extend the range there!!

Power and motoryacht has many boat tests with fuel consumption. I do a lot of deliveries 12k NM per year on many different vessels. I basically find out what an engine burns per hour at cruise in similar boats and then divide cruise speed by that to get GPM. Then figure 80% of tank capacity and you should have a safe range.
