Drove past this in a local boat yard the other day, its been there since I can remember for years and years. Little paint and some polish? Links removed. READ the rules!
Holy moly!!! A former beauty with her hair let down. Rust is really having a time with that one and there is no salt air in the midwest.
Dynos' Tune That boat used to belong to a friend of mine that had a tune up shop WITH a dynomometer on the south side of Chicago. The boat came up from Florida with a soft bottom that was patched down there. After getting here, the new owner did a TON of work on it to enable a COI of 48 plus crew to charter out of Burnham harbor here. Several years ago, there was a bunch of interior work being done. The next day the owner came back to find the interior in ashes. The fire smoldered all night with no outside evidence. Next thing the boat was gawn. Glad someone at least found it... poor girl!! He used to call my Roamer "that creampuff" !! ws
Bill, its right over in Portage Indiana! Were you ever aware of a boat named Wood Hue that used to be in Chicago years ago?
Ruff'n Where in Portage is the big guy? I need some parts for my 58 Hatteras which is almost identical! ws
Can somebody please explain why my posts keep getting deleted? I have read the rules numerous times and do not see anything that I have done wrong.
So you are not allowed to use a personal photobucket account here? I was not hotlinking the pictures from somebody elses website. I have seen several people using tinyurl and photobucket on this site. Not arguing just making sure it is understood that I didn't just find these pictures online somewhere and post them without permission.
I guess the reason is that we donĀ“t like to end up with posts with dead links (missing pictures) after some time.
Pics So like I responded to Carl last nite, I'll resort to the Geico method of posting pics. So easy a cave man could do it. Are buffalo hunting pics allowed??? Carl... I'll try to get by Doynes one day... been meaning to stop by for 20 years now LOL. For pics, you can right click (on mine anyway) and open with H-P photoshop premier and resize from there. Its a little compicated, but you are a Roamer owner arent you (oops, well a CCCCcarver owner anyway!). ws
Might own a Carver but have always admired the lines of a Roamer and have 3 close friends who own them so I am on them quite often!
