    Some time ago a I had Formula Yacht Spars re-rig my boat but they left it with a dangerous rig and unable to be used under sail.

    In the vain hope that a resolution could be found I tried to get the company to accept responsibility and redo the job.

    I can now confirm that the company concerned was Formula Yacht Spars.

    I just received the following in an email;

    >>>
    I am sorry to say that Formula Yacht Spars has gone into administration as of Tuesday 3rd June.

    A reduced number of people have been kept employed for the next 6 weeks or so to finish significant rig projects and if a buyer is not found then we will close.

    I hadn't seen the news release and they hadn't even the decency to let me know!

    As for the problems, they used 7X19 wire instead of 1X19 and it stretched real bad. They screwed one of my electric furling motor control units. The list goes on and on.

    Anyone know a reputable rigging company with experience of Hood furling systems?

    We have been using Southern Spars, but most of our rigging is composite and I am not sure if they do wire and rod. That being said, they have great service and product from the Rhode Island facility.
