Axopar is based in Helsinki, Finland and makes boats across several ranges that span from 22, 25, 28, 29, 37 and 45 size range. In the Axopar 37 range there are three sub-variants that include the Axopar 37 XC Cross Cabin, the Axopar 37 Spyder and the Axopar 37 Sun-top. Regardless of the sub-category Axopar has a distinct look despite whatever external trappings that may be added. That signature look also translates into notable performance on the water. Running this particular Axopar 37 XC Cross Cabin are a pair of Mercury Verado 300 with only 95 hours on them. The annual Service has been done at the 70 hour mark.

Seen here in her native element, this running shot not only depicts the lift this hull generates but also how the boat runs underway. Axopars are most recognizable by their freeboard to length ratio. Surprisingly, owners comment on how dry the ride is in offshore conditions. Also, note some of the exterior features that make this a great exploration vehicle. There is a water skiing tow-bar across the transom turning this boat into a mean towing machine for watersports. Attached to the aft deck house is a rod-rack and on the roof, a roof rack. It is not uncommon to see Axopars with kayaks, paddleboards and bicycles strapped to their roofs. Note the myriad of exterior seating and the beefy rails all along the deck.

This aerial shot reveals well-designed and quilted exterior seating arrangements. The Brabus styling package is implemented onboard this boat. There is a fixed sunbed on front deck with storage and the aft seats can fold down. On the roof you will find the Simrad Halo 20 Radar for virtual situational awareness and Simrad VHF for communication. On the mast itself is the Search light and that comes with remote control for its operation. Other pieces of equipment could be added after the purchase such as a FLIR camera, Starlink dish, etc.

Although the fixed Brabus styling package bow lounger is front and center in this photo with its fancy automotive quilting and well-tucked borders, take a look at the windshield! This near-frameless piece of glass is a beauty to behold. Certainly enhances the views into the yacht but more importantly offers unimpeded views out for the person in command of the helm. Back to the fixed bow lounger, there is a forward-facing rectangular window that helps to add natural lighting to the interior space below. Axopar ensured they formed the bow lounger around this port light to avoid hindering light transmission below.

In this opposing view of the Axopar 37 XC Brabus bow seating, the high bulwarks already make moving around the side decks safe but grab rails extend down the length of the boat adding an extra safety element. Look closely and you can just make out the deck lighting. The boat comes with LED courtesy lights, front cabin, LED ambient lights, pilothouse as well as underwater lights that are 2-in-1/dual color.

Every boat in this market segment would do well to have a prep station as it helps to make life onboard for dayboat activities and weekending more comfortable. This area should be easily customizable to the customer but the bare essentials make implementing this prep station worthwhile. Sink, small cooktop or grill, trash receptacle, ice maker, fridge can all fit in this space. When you are done, the top can close to keep the area clean and provide additional counter space. The hinged cover is also assisted by gas shocks to keep it opened when needed and provide a soft closing.

A look at the helm station on this particular Axopar 37 XC reveals uninhibited views. With minimal framing, the majority of glazing aids in sweeping views for the person in command. All buttons, MFDs and remotes are within easy reach of this concise and modern console. Windlass in bow plus its remote control. Shore Power 11 0V with 40Ah charger, US standard. Echo sounder, bottom scanner are also onboard.

Looking closer at the 37 XC Cross Cabin's helm position, the entry point to the cabin below is on the port side while the helm occupies the remainder of the forward cockpit. At a casual glance it appears as a single piece of black glass but beneath it conceals two 12'' MFDs (Multi Function Displays) from Simrad and its 'Information Display' layout technology. Physical buttons are all well-placed and nothing is senselessly installed. Overall a sleek and modern appeal to the helm area with no instrument clutter.

Besides the usual shift/throttle control, a joystick at a helm control lends to an easily controllable boat. With twin Mercury 300 Verados at the ready, this intuitive joystick gives even more maneuverability to the Axopar. DTS Controls w/JPO Joystick make for a good combination. Additionally Side-Power Bow Thrust is available.

Similar to the exterior soft seating, the helm seats follow the same design language. The quilted diamond pattern also pervades the interior space in the deck house. Wide sliding doors on the sides provide ease of access to the side decks. They also permit natural cross ventilation. Plug-in sockets can also be found in the deck house for electronics, charging, etc. Throughout the interior, high-level grab rails are present to provide firm footing while the boat is underway.

The advantage to the 37 XC Cross Cabin is the deck house. It affords full protection from exterior conditions and is useful as well as convenient dependent on what climes the boat will be operating in. It takes what would normally be an exterior space making it more intimate and secure for guests. Despite this, the sides have large sliding doors and the roof has a retractable fabric ceiling. This affords guests in the deck house to control how much of the exterior surroundings is allowed 'into' the space. Additionally the side sliding doors assist with movement aft and forward at deck level.

Looking out the back window of the deck house, the minimally framed views are largely unhindered. With the helm seats forward, this is where passengers will congregate when the weather turns inclimate. This rear bench seat can easily be utilized as a bed. The aft seats fold as well. Overhead there are LED task lights as well as LED ambient lighting the perimeter of the overhead upholstery feature.

Looking up at the fully retracted sunroof, a fabric ceiling protects this area but can be quickly recessed to provide other-worldly views on moonlit cruises or allowing sunlight to penetrate the space during the day. The sliding canvas roof system is provided by Webasto and is electric catering to operational silence. A simple solution to covering and protection of the interior but permitting the option for greater connection to the environment.

There are multiple entry points to the cabin, most notably through gull wing doors with ergonomically placed steps providing relative ease for access. Overall the space below is ample for day-long excursions or weekends away. Comfortable opposing seats are flanked by a sink and accompanying faucet. At first glance what appears as just regular seating, flips up to reveal the toilet below.

Here is a look closer look at the interior from within. With the toilet seat down it is hardly recognizable that a toilet is onboard. A convenient mid-rise teak step gives a more comfortable step-up to the vanity area. The steps for going out the side gull wing openings double as a small cocktail table too. Note the inset for the cup.

The Axopar 37 XC with Brabus interior touches implements some European styling cues. Note the 'throw cushion' suspended from the wall at head-height. That functions as a headrest along with the molded corner back bolsters.

The entry into the cabin adds a bit of high-end automotive styling and functionality onboard the 37 XC Cross Cabin. Note the gull wing entry is not standard, this is an option. The standard entry into the cabin will be from the cockpit via a sliding enclosure usually to the portside of the helm position. With the option of the gull wing doors there are three access points to the cabin area rather than the single point from the deckhouse. If the weather turns foul and you can't use the gull wing doors, the regular access from the enclosed comfort of the cockpit remains. While the additional entry/exit points may appear to be convenience over necessity, boating is all about choice and comfort. Additionally, these glass-top doors allow more natural light to penetrate to the cabin aside from the other rectangular skylight.

This Axopar 37 XC Cross Cabin with the upgraded Brabus styling is fitted with upgraded twin Mercury 300 Verados. Depending on the load factor these engines can push this boat close to 47-knots. Verados are known for being quiet, efficient and powerful. Coupled with the Joystick Piloting system as well as Digital Throttle & Shift (DTS) controls it makes operating an outboard boat in tight spaces intuitive thanks to some innovative control algorithms.

The price has been reduced on this loaded 37 XC Brabus. Compare the lengthy list of options and upgrades against other boats on the market.
