Buying a 1998 53 Navigator Pilothouse. Swim platform has soft spots appx 5 sq ft. Looking for a ballpark idea of the cost of repair. I know that's always problematic, but I'd love to know if the neighborhood is closer to $5,000 than $10 or $12,000.

    Thanks!

    need more info.

depending on the size and location of the soft spot you could repair it for the cost of a drill bit and some west system, or you may have to de-core or replace the whole thing.

I agree. A good fiberglass guy should be able to repair it for under $3000

Just soft spot(s), nothing to see on the surface. Seems to have started and is softest around and between sockets for mounting the swim ladder.

Thanks for the info, all. Really glad I joined.
