    Just looking through the Austal site and came accross this....

    Hull depth moulded: 8.2 metres
    Hull draft (maximum): 4.0 metres

    I know what draft is, but what is depth moulded?

    BTW, 127x30mtrs @ 40knots = :eek:

    molded depth - the distance from the top of the keel to the top of the upper main deck beams amidships at the gunwale.

    This term is usually restricted to ships registry requirements and isn't commoly used when describing boat/yacht/ship dimensions.
