Farmont 85' Explorer

A go anywhere, tough, rugged, robust and stylistic yacht is what you are looking for? The Farmont 85 Navigator I aptly fits the bill. The design comes from the well established studio of Rene van der Velden and features all of the above adjectives in design.

Not too long, the design measures a cozy 85 feet. The waterline length is 80.20 feet which indicates a high-angled bow and a relatively vertical transom. Roomy? Sure! The Rene van der Velden design features a roomy 23 foot beam. Can I go into shallow confines? Why not? the Navigator has a draught of 6.70 feet.

The vessel is designed to be constructed from strong composite materials. This will lead to a relatively light ship with an expected displacment of 150 tonnes in light mode.

2 X CAT 3406C marine engines will push this explorer to a maximum speed of 12.8 knots. A 12 knot cruise speed is also expected to be established. At even slower trawl speeds, this Farmont 85 can rack up over 4,500 NM in range!

In terms of accommodation, the Farmont 85 Navigator I the arrangement seems to suggest 10 persons take residence in 5 cabins. This also includes provision for the crew.
