Ghostrider was one of YF's hidden treasures. We began private correspondence a few years ago and I got an email from his brother today saying he had passed on to calmer waters.

GR3 owned a tugboat, perhaps an LNG tug or some form of rare model. I have gotten emails from him while in Falkland Islands, Guyana, Azores, and places I had to Google to find. I believe his homes were/are in Iceland, Greenland, Newfoundland, and Panama. Yes, he got around. He owned a 60' gulet so was on YF as an owner and as a commercial mariner who recently sailed the NW Passage, as well as far corners of the world. He came from a family of mariners and his father, and I believe with Ghostrider alongside, sailed both Poles. It is interesting to note that his family is from one of the Indigenous Tribes from Western Canada.

A brilliant and talented seafarer - I will miss my correspondence with him.
