Hi Everyone.... Newbie Dan Here... Anyone have a copy or access to the electrical layout of the engine starting & paralleling system used on late 80's early 90's Three solenoids were used... two for combing two 12v bats to make 24v starting and the third for paralleling port & starboard... I believe they had a fuel or oil pressure switch in the start button circuit to prevent the starter from engaging a running engine as the running engine starter button was used in the function of parallel starting??? Thanks in advance.... Dan Thibault
Not sure totally. A 63' Ocean I used to manage had the solenoids mounted on the foward bulkhead of the engine room. They weren't too expensive, I think around $250 each. I'm not sure on the oil pressure or fuel pressure safety, guess you're going to have to trace the wiring.
