What can I say - one of the finest wooden boat builders from New Jersey ever to put plank to sea. My dad owned an early 29' made out of cypress - so they always held a special place in our hearts (especially the later 37'). Famous for their sumptuous "real" wood interiors, they were symbols of a bygone era as fiberglass hulls became standard in the early 70s. Fortunately, Egg Harbor adapted (2 or 3 bankrupcies later) and still produce world class Sport Fishermans (SF) today - complete with fantastic book-matched teak panels and joinery inside. A brochure shot of their now famous 33' SF is shown at bottom.
One Man is an Island. The coolest modification on a 48' Egg yet - this captain had most of the living space below coverted into a master stateroom. Sweet!
a true investment I recall reading some 25 yrs ago that used egg harbors actually appreciated in value!
Wish Upon a Star Don't think any serious boater is actually in this for the money - but it would be nice to be able to recoup 1/2 of one's money someday.
not investment advice...no...no just a sign of how incredible the free market system can be! Or another way to say what a super high quality, well regarded yacht!
From the Egg Harbor 48 mold - made by a company called Pace. No longer in existance. I really enjoy her. Primary use is sport fishing here in Hong Kong. Previous was a Bert 46_6
