Today i went to the Hiswa, the Dutch Yacht Show at IJmuiden.

Unbelievable weather (i feel and look like a lobster..) and among all novelties the Guardian 50, an amazing Ocean certified (LLoyds) ship.

    - Among others, the hull, made of a foam, Kevlar variant (Aramide) and polyester sandwich which is very stiff, light and strong.

    - No steering wheel found in the whole ship, joystick both at the main helmstation and on the flyingbridge.

    - Engine room with standing height (quite amazing, given the modest size of this ship).

    - The most uncluttered helmstation ive ever seen.

    - An interiour which is almost ridiculously well finished (see pictures), very modern and still very easy to live with.

Might go on for some time but i let the pictures do some talking.

The pictures start with 2 models, one of the 50 and one of her bigger sister.

    Outside pictures

A few pictures from the outside; bit hard to take any pictures on the Hiswa; always VERY well visited.

    More outside pictures

Best picture would have been seeing here on the move ( i.ve seen her on tv taking waves at great pace and practically unmoved otherwise; very good working hull.

    Interiour pictures

First the entrance through one of the watertight doors.
I have no idea where all the carpentry is done but the standard is amazing; reflection all over:)

    Helmstation

First time i see a very hightech helmstation that is absolutely uncluthered

Last picture of course the outside helmstation.

    Facilities

First picture is a spare room, extra bed, small office?
Second picture watertight door to bedroom, followed by the bedroom itself.

    I REALLY need a wideangle!

    More inside pictures

First picture is of a second double bedroom with own wetcell on the left, the beds in this room (here's where a wideangle would have been nice...),
another toilet and finally a few visitors checking the engine room out.

I like this ship a lot, quite different from what ive seen so far, but despite her very modern interiour, still fit to cross an ocean.

Again, my pictures, given the modest nature of my camera, don't do her justice!

    Full Hiswa topic

I wanted to do a full topic about the Hiswa but this will take a bit longer since the beautiful weather here continues and after the lousy summer we had over here i will spend the next few days outside :D

Nice boats/ships this year though, among em the big Mochi (babyblue with flybridge; lobster on steroids..)

    ABOUT GUARDIAN 50

    HI,

I LIKE THE BOAT ESPECIALLY EXTERIOR VIEW. I WANT TO KNOW HER SALE PRICE.

AND ALSO THE BRIDGE CONSOLE CAN BE MADE MORE ATTRACTIVE WITH CIRCULAR FINISH, BUT VERY USEFUL AND COMFORTABLE...

AND ALSO ONE OF THE ATTRACTIVE SCREEN IS NAVIGATION TABLE, I WANT ONE IF IT S POSSIBLE :D
