Düsseldorf Boat Show- Boot Düsseldorf 22-30 January 2011

The Düsseldorf Boat Show will be at week 4 of January 2011, at Messe D.

I plan to be there if all goes well, right after the London Boat show which is 10 days prior. I will try to post photos during my visit to this thread. If anyone plans to go, it would be nice to say hello.

A 48V hybrid system, Mercury Outboard inside mechanics, Williams jet tender.

Overall, it was a good show. With the outside air at around 34-38F (2-4C) during the day, it felt good to be indoors.

The motoryacht hall in the pictures of the first three posts had a nice Mediterrenean feel design. It was a pleasure to be there. The sailboat hall was more than satisfactory, bringing many brands such as Contest, Oyster and Hanse boats under the same roof.

However, the equipment/clothing part was so-so. Not many innovations as suppliers brought the most popular items in order to cover their placement and HR costs in the show. Found a few useful items, but not the innovative products one could expect. Of course, in the superyacht section, there were companies who could make the arrangements.

For people who are interested in chartering and booking cruise holidays in flotillas, passagemaking etc.. this show would be very useful. There are many companies representing European holiday destination countries' marinas, bareboat charter firms and so on.

@Brian, the model line-up is something, isn't it?
