I know that thread about the 141 meter gigayacht had been docked..and I am not trying to bring up something to irritate others with.. but something did get my curosity in the subject,,
I have seen something about it before, like in a yachting mag or something. Although I am not saying the boat is for real,, but money has obviuosly been spent in making noise about this vessel. If it is a fake or made up fictional story,, why would people spend money doing advertisement and what not? What could they gain or be trying to pull?

Don't know if it holds true for yachts but in other industries "advertising" a piece of vapourware is done to find out if there really is interest out there. Pretend that it's real, if someone antes up then make it real. The only downside is the cost of the hype which is laughably tiny if the order comes through.

This Swift 141 project of converting a warship into a Gigayacht sounds pretty much like what was deleted by Carl. But the Swift 141 looks to be true.
