Looking at purchasing a boat with two motors and considering the price of an overhaul due to the hours (3300hrs). If they've been well maintained, should I worry about it? If so. What would the ballpark cost be to overhaul each engine? Never owned a boat with diesels so I'm kind of a newbie with this power plant.
I'm at a stage of my life where I'm ready for a new adventure and I'm ready to try the live aboard lifestyle.
    TIA

Turbos or naturals? How old are they and have they been rebuilt before ?

when I looked into rebuilt my Naturals 5 or 6 years ago, it was about $25k per engine. I ended up repowering with factory reman Cummins C-series and new ZF gears for about $38k each

Start at around $3000 per lung just for a cheap (TI) in-frame rebuild.
    Then the clutch.
    Then the clean up,
    Then the lil things.
    Then more big things.
Then you still have a 80+ year design engine.

Is your boat a keeper? Going to put lots of hours (really??) hours on her?
    Re-read post #2.

3300 hours? Dock Queen? Just pour some fresh oil (CF-2) in them every now and then.

    I am a hardened 71 fan.
But reality has slapped me a few times lately.
    I wish I repowered 20 years ago with 3406s.
