  1. HJB completes 39.95-meter "Rainbow"

The J-class sailing yacht "Rainbow" has been completed by Holland Jachtbouw. The new vessel was only launched in February of this year and has been already handed over to her owner(s). Bearing the J-Class pennant number JH-2, she is one of the latest of this class to be completed.

Rainbow measures just under 40-meters and is 6.37-meters at her widest point on the hull and her fixed draft is 4.80-meters. Dykstra & Partners are responsible for most of her aspects design wise. The Naval Architecture, Design and Interior are by this studio.

Rainbow is built in aluminum with wooden-cladded deckhouse for the superstructure. Even though this vessel is an inspiration and almost a replica of the original America’s Cup winner of 1934 she features a modern superyacht interior that has been inspired by 1930s styling.

The interior can host eight guests and eight crew but she is a competitive race yacht and when racing she will have up to 28 crew onboard. Additionally she includes a unique hybrid propulsion system inside her racing boat hull. All of this is crowned by a grand prix racing deck and rig. She is expected to compete in Summer regattas as well as those in England in the next two months.
