    I recently had to replace the heat exchanger on my '05 496 Merc I/O and was told mechanic had to pay LIST PRICE due to a general shortage of parts in the So FL area. Factory list price was $1006.00 Has anyone else experienced this issue?

    I've been waiting on 2 sets of SS exhaust risers for 2 weeks now from a distributor for a set of 8.1 horizons. Mercruiser parts are also crazy expensive, even when they're made in mexico......LOL
