Crazing/Spider cracks

    Good Morning all,
    In anticipation of a re-paint of Savasa, I need to address the spider cracks that are obvious in several areas. Is there any option other than grinding down the surface and filling/fairing to eliminate "bleed through" of the cracks?
    I intend to use Alexseal (roller and tip). I don't THINK the cracks are stress related, for the most part. I suspect she still has her original finish from 1979 and the crazing is simply due to age.
    Any and all suggestions welcome. Thanks....
