Hi, I'm new to the forum and im looking for information on lowering the radar arch on a Cranchi Endurance 39. It needs to be transported from NYC to upstate NY and will be overheight unless the radar arch can be lowered. The boat is beind sold at auction so that I cannot get info from the auction company. The dealers have been less than usefull so far and dont seem to know squat about the boats other than engine size and how many it can sleep. So far the boat is sight-unseen so I have not had the opportunity to see what might be needed to lower the arch, and wont have the opportunity until I am onsite to move the boat. I am trying to be prepared before I arrive to move the boat. Any insight, contacts, sketches, anything at all that would help, is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Geotek,
As far as I know, the radar arch is bolted to the deck moulding. I'm sure there is access to these bolts behind the seat stbd side and the stowage / coolbox area portside, or they may be accessible from underneath the deck..possibly removable panels in the inside faces of the radar arch uprights too. Some builders seat the radar arch on a bed of sealant, which can be a strong bond depending what they use. There will be cables to watch out for too when removing the radar arch, hopefully with connectors otherwise they may need to be cut and re-connected on re-assembly. The radar arch once removed could be strapped to the foredeck fwd of the windscreen for transportation. Vague, but hopefully useful.
