What do you guys think a good budget is for repainting a 54 Bertram. I have priced vinyl wraps and it is not bad an all. Considering painting because of those 2 ugly black stripes on the cabin. PPF will not mask them. Also have to figure out how to wrap close to exhaust. My exhaust penetrates side of hull not through transom. And it has louvers that look painted. Got a couple of estimates and they are way apart. Lowest is from yard I know.

Fairly wide open question with regards to time and effort involving hardware or interfering fixtures, surface condition and related faring and prep work...every project is its own animal. Guess at $75k for awl grip from top to bottom paint. Could be a little less, and it could be a lot more.

I had those black stripes painted Grey W. 1/4 in. gold pin stripes about 2 years ago and have had a truck load of compliments.

Have a friend here did the vinyl on a 54 ft MY 4 yrs ago, still looks great, you have to watch where the tricky seams are and maybe have to do a little caulking to retain adhesion, I think his cost was under 10K but not 100% sure.
about 10 yrs ago I got price to repaint (Awlgrip) on a 43 Hatt at Owl Creek in Fla. was 45K at that time the guy did excellent work as I watched him for about a week when waiting for new genny install.

Each to their own but here's photo of a 50 with repainted stripes similar to mine. Used to also mix black & white Micron 44 to create that grey on previous Bert but later learned the darker the bottom paint the less growth so changed back to black.
