    I was just wondering if anyone has any contacts on cruise ships or with cruise ship companies? I have registered with all the crew agents in Ft Lauderdale and Antibes and been for personal interviews with them all. However they do not generally help one in getting a position on a cruise liner.

    I have been looking for a health officer position on a big ship. The luxury yachts generally do not offer this position so I have been looking for a deckhand/bosun position on luxury yachts and then offer my services as a health officer as well. I have Chiropractic, STCW, Master of Yachts 200t, PADI Dive Instructor and Fitness Instructor courses as well.

    Any information will be appreciated.

    Have you tried going directly through the lines HR department? I also just quickly pulled this off the net cruise ship job .com

    Thanks Nycap123. Most of the searches from the internet are people trying to make money by selling books on how to get a job on a cruise ship. First you are not sure whether it is scam or real. Second it does not really help you because I still believe that personal referrals are the best way to go. I have written to some HR departments and never get any responses.

    I need a HR representative name, email, telephone number, with a cruise ship company. Then maybe I can go further from there. Somebody who has recently been working on a ship who just can give me one decent contact/lead.

    I have finally found a company in UK who specialise in placement of professionals on cruise ships. This has been a long while waiting but I know I am one step closer to my dream job. A job where I can enjoy the ocean and adventure as well as working as a professional on board.;)
