I would be interested in hearing from anyone that knows whether Sea Ray has altered their construction techniques for their hulls, specifically below the waterline. If so, what year(s) those changes occurred. I continue to read with interest the discussions regarding all boats and their relative seaworthiness. I believe many of you have done a world of good holding manufacturer's feet to the fire. Having said that, there are many things I like about certain boats if only their construction techniques were not suspect.
Thanks in advance for your help!

IIRC, the lawsuits were mentioning boats built between 1995 and 2001. The boats were allegedly 45-50-footers with balsa core bottoms.
A 'famous' internet surveyor, D____ P_____, has more to say on the matter.

I have little doubt he has literally volumes to say on the matter

If it is of the same quality as what he has to say about diesels I would not recommend him to anyone.

A client of mine found him on the internet (where else) and employed him for a survey on a relatively small, simple boat. I wasn't too impressed, either.
