High pressure alarm sound when trying to run it only happened after taken strainer out to clean then starting chilled any clues please
Not familiar with that brand but high pressure is always caused by a water flow issue. Since you just opened the strainer, it s likely a priming issue. priming problems are usually caused by incorrect installation with the hose between the strainer and the pump inlet having a high point trapping air. You may need to pull the hose on the pump out let and force water in to prime it
Or the cooling pumps are above the water line with bronze impellers and very little talent in suction...either way, outcome is the same. Help prime. Agreed that high pressure is the fault of inadequate cooling water, and it can set off the high pressure fault as well as trip a circuit breaker.
Or if bronze impeller pump the impeller /housing has eroded with time and just can’t self prime anymore even if below waterline.
Not necessarily. In Condaria chillers, that alarm can also refer to completely different issues. But I agree that considering the coincidence with the cleaned strainer, it's very likely the last of five possible reasons why the alarm went off. They are listed at the top of the last page of the manual, which I'm attaching because it could be useful for the OP if he doesn't have it. In fact, it should come with the boat, normally...
