I am Contemplating Purchase Conam 60 Widebody http://en.cosasdebarcos.com/barco_58869030090769495654484951544548.html I ´m eager to know if anybody have any previous experiences with conam yachts good or bad . Thanks Miika
Hello I helmed a Conam 35 old model 1985 about ten years ago, then a new 46 Sport open hard top four years ago, and 12 year old 48 Chorum wide body. Conam where the first to use wide body on a med style boat back in 1990 with the 48 Chorum. If the styling is up to your taste they are good boats IMO. Since about 5 years the yard is owned by Rodriguez Company which is not the world wide Overmarine Mangusta dealer, but the ship builder from Messina Italy which has other yards there. The 60 Widebody is very spacious for a boat its size that is sure....
I do like the desing. But its not very wide yacht it being 60" but only 4.4 metres wide. Its funny because back in the day I had 410 searay aft cabin and that was only 40" yacht but still 4.2 metres wide .
Yes its normal that most US builds are wider then Euro ones. But to get the facts straight the 60 Wide Body was actually born as the 54 Chorum model in 1994. I think to remember here it measured about 57 feet overall. In about 2002 it later got extended and modified and became a slightly larger craft. Among the most nicer touches are the port holes now eye shaped scattles. We have an Italian registered 60 Wide Body sister ship locally which I think left for its Summer cruise this week.
Looking at the pictures Conam Chorum 54 and 60 widebody share almost identical exterior. Inside it looks like Conam 60 have slightly different floorplan. http://newimages.**************/1/8/0/6/1/1806130_1.jpg?1194891590000 thanks for the insight .
