  1. Nobiskrug completes 74-meter superyacht "Sapphire"

German yard Nobiskrug just delivered its latest superyacht, the 73.50-meter "Sapphire". She is a slightly more sleeker and detailed version of "Siren", built by Nobiskrug in 2008. The dark hull pops off the gleaming white superstructure while the tinted windows accent the hull. White boot completes the entire look.

Sapphire has been constructed to Germanischer Lloyds class and is also MCA compliant. The interior work was formulated by Newcruise design and executed fully by Metrica. A pair of MTU engines power Sapphire to a cruising speed of 15 knots with top speed a few knots faster. Economically sailing she can give a 5,000 nautical mile range.

On the inside, she plays host to twelve guests and sleeps them in six spacious and well appointed staterooms. On the aft end of the main deck Sapphire has a special touch-and-go helipad built in similar manner and design to the one onboard the Siren. In non-operational mode the pad is a half of a circle where it is decked out with loungers and other furniture pieces. In operational mode the furniture is removed and the top half of the pad hydraulically folds out over the stern to make a fully circular pad.

Sapphire is now completed and delivered by Nobiskrug. In fact she was only delivered yesterday by the yard. Another major point about the Sapphire is that she was sold making her the first yacht greater than 70-meters to be sold in 2011.
