  1. JFA delivers 43-meter "Axantha II" Expedition yacht

French company JFA completed the 43-meter "Axantha II" a few months ago after being launched in March. Axantha II has been built essentially on the original platform from 2003, "Axantha". Not surprising the new 43-meter yacht is the successor, being larger and offering more.

Axantha II was constructed under the hull number '22C'. She features a design by the experienced Vripack Naval Architects. The explorer/expedition design allows for a large and long foredeck that is dedicated to storage for two similarly sized RIB tenders both served by a crane along the centerline.

The aft placed superstructure includes the saloon and lounge areas, finely decorated showcasing dark woodwork. Below decks are three double cabins as well as another double with a pullman berth as well as the owner's stateroom. Four doubles exist for the eight crew members along with their mess facilities.

Two Cummins engines power Axantha II to above 12.5 knots. Her range is really impressive 8,000 nautical mile range at 11 knots. The 300 tonne yacht is MCA compliant and classed by Bureau Veritas.
