Heesen Yachts complete 47-meter “Air”​

Dutch yacht builder Heesen recently completed another luxury yacht. This one is the sixth hull in their ever growing 47-meter steel hull series and has been christened “Air”. The design of the yacht throughout comes from collaboration with Heesen’s in-house team and Omega Architects. Omega worked primarily on the interior of Air providing a playful contemporary theme that emphasized black on white with splashes of colorful accents.

Air boasts similar technical characteristics as her sisters in the series. The series started with a yacht called “Yalla” back in 2004 and progressed to the current and latest delivery. Air features twin MTU 20V 4000 M93L marine diesels capable of speeding her to about 15.5 knots. Slower cruising at just over 10 knots ensures a respectable continuous range of over 4,000 nautical miles. Accommodations include five cabins – four for guests and one master for the owner-.

The four guest cabins are located on the lower deck and the master stateroom is on the forward end of the main deck. The guest cabins are mixed between twin and double bed arrangement even though some can be interchanged to suit the desired effect at a moment’s notice. Air definitely will not be the last 47-meter to be released from Heesen’s Dutch facilities as there are at least three more presently under construction in various stages of progression.
