  1. Alloy completes 44-meter "Imagine II"

New Zealand yacht manufacturer, Alloy Yachts, have completed a special project for a repeat client. Around the middle of June 2010, the yard launched the "Imagine II". AY40, as she was known as in construction, is larger than the owner's previous yacht of the same name ("Imagine"). She measures 44.20-meters while the older vessel was around 34-meters.

Both yachts were designed by the famed firm of Dubois Naval Architects. Imagine II is now completed to the delight of everyone that worked on her. However, the newest yacht is packed with new technology especially relating to sailing and handling. Furthermore, the new technology and comfort is extended to the public and private spaces.

Accommodation is set up in one Master stateroom and two guest cabins. The crew is also taken care of. The 260 tonne yacht features a Southern Spars mast and Leisure furling boom all supporting North Sails 3DL. For motoring, there is a Caterpillar C18 ā€˜Dā€™ rated 873hp engine fed by 22,000 LT of fuel.
