Love the lines of this boat…. Sanlorenzo BGX70

Specifically the owners cabin below, with lounge, separate living area (Office) and walk up to the large platform out back…. Live in Florida winters, Rhode Island summers and looking for long trips to Bahamas but still able to live work on board.

Looking for owner operated, not planning to host others regularly so one extra cabin is fine. This layout would be nice for captain/stew couple could use the separated room when crew needed. Or a guest for a couple overnights.

Only concern so far is the Maint for san lorenzo and parts availability here in the US.

What other models from similar companies would you suggest… Saw an ISA that was similar.

    Thanks in advance for advice!

Happy to discuss. I Captained a BG72 from Lauderdale up to Campobello Island, Canada to clear Customs / Entry for one last November and then ran it back down to Palm Beach for the owner and throughout the Bahamas for them this past winter. Lots of really cool features and things and a few things that left me scratching my head.

It's up to you guys, but does this conversation have to be on DM? Why not keep it open? Others are interested. I'm inside the factory in Italy where BG72 is built, next Monday Sept 18th, for example.

I’m game but to each his own!

    did you purchase?

I’ve heard to make sure mechanicals used are easily accessible in the US

warranty is good but takes some work to get them to follow through

and most system access is good but some systems like stabilizers take hours of dismantling interior to get at.

Im not scared off but still researching

    curious your thoughts and feedback

Would love to hear your input public or private

I’m looking for an owner operated boat and not many guests, I’ll charter a bigger boat for those times.

every other owner operated size boat looks the same..

    The bgx70 is sooo different.

Love the master, living room and rear lounge opening to beach club area. Could definitely live and work and in that space for weeks on end.

I’d get the layout with separate guest room. More for an enticing crew quarters when bringing them for long passages etc.

Not many 70s out there but trying to get more feedback

Enjoy the factory, and certainly not opposed to communicating openly on YF, but sometimes personal opinions of things tend to "rub people the wrong way" and don't want to offend people from my first hand experience and opinions.
