Anybody know how to remove this thing? I see what looks two wedge stops or brackets on the upper left and right but can’t find a way to access them. I’m trying to replace it with an espresso maker and am starting to get very frustrated

Many years ago I had a Silverton with a Black and Decker coffee maker. If memory serves it was held in by wedges in the plastic box. I was able to slide a thin piece of wood in and compress the wedges and pull the coffee maker out. Good Luck! Let us know what works.

Thank You. I'm thinking this might work. It's the same setup you describe. I'll give it a shot tomorrow and in the next day or two and report back. Thank You

So FYI. You have to lift up hard and pull forward. It will remove itself from the cradle/brackets.

I know this is an old thread... but I’m actually looking for the original (black) black and decker “space maker” coffee maker that came on the 40’ opens... haven’t been able to locate one anywhere. Anyone have any leads? Thanks,

    Chase

On EBay enter "black and decker coffeemaker" I think you will find what you are looking for. Good luck!

Close... but no black ones, only white. No big deal, will just have to upgrade to a newer coffee machine.

We removed the built in coffee maker and had a drawer/tray made in its place. It allows you to use whatever coffee maker you want (we've since upgraded the Keurig to a Nespresso machine). It wasn't a cheap date, but well worth it for us.

He also installed a 5lb drawer catch so that it doesn't slide out when under way.

Yes I was thinking either that or installing a SeaKeeper
