Please accept my apologies. For years I tried to moderate the classifieds and prevent people from making a mockery of listings with ad-lib, follow-up or even off-color remarks, but as YF has grown and my workload increased, I have failed.

I'm as interested in new listings as anyone else, but I haven't been checking the classifieds lately. I'm in the midst of a coding project and it's consuming most of my free time.

Next week, I'm going to begin stripping posts from the classifieds. Most of them are newbies that don't care to read our guidelines, but a good number of these follow up posts are senior members, so the next time you log on and your post count is lower, you'll know why.

If you see someone make a comment in the classifieds that me or the mods have missed, please let us know.

    Thanks!

While it's interesting to discuss advertised boats, we need to be respectful of sellers. Put yourself in their position. How would you feel if you posted a listing and people made derogatory comments about your boat? YF would soon develop a reputation for being a peanut gallery.

All of this will be a mute point soon. YF's listing service is about to enter uncharted waters. More on this soon...

I can't even imagine that happening.
