    Good morning to all,
    I am installing new clamshells at the port and starboard side bow of a 130' motor yacht. At what angle should the clamshells be positioned?
    Thank you and have a great day!!

    An authority here in the office suggests placing the clamshells at right angles to the seafood forks.

    Clamshell, eductors, cowls; I have seen as many different shapes as there are boats in the water. Most work, but some just can't get the exhaust gases out of the bottom of the boat. Some of the other questions that should be taken in to considerations are;
    1) How deep is the penetration relative to water line.
    2) Location of the clamshell relative to the penetration.
    3) Cruising speed of the vessel.

    I'll be more than happy to assist you with this, let me know.

    Hi,

    The OP says he is installing these at the port and starboard bow. I don't know what sort of 130FT yacht has it's exhausts at the bow.

    Good point. Tom, do you have any photos you can post?
