I have been watching videos of super yachts on Youtube and have to admit to being partial to the Christensen models. I know nothing about them nor will I ever be in the position to afford one. I am hoping people that know this yachts might be willing to share information about them, i.e. maintenance, reliability, comfort of them at sea, etc...

Thanks for a retired old boater.

They have built some nice boats in the past but the current owner, Henry Luken forced the Christensen family out and last I knew after three years of court battles was moving them to Tellico, TN. However, to my knowledge, they haven't built a boat in the last two years and I don't know if they have any under construction or not. Their website says they have two under construction to be finished in 2018 and 19. History says (especially those three who had boats in construction when they last declared bankruptcy) that if you give them money toward a yacht, it's not wise to expect them to actually finish it. Too many good builders to get involved with them. Also, not new for the owner. All is very consistent with his previous businesses.

Our company bought the former Christensen facility in Vancouver, WA. We converted it to our aluminum build yard and this is where we are now building boats for SOCOM(special forces) and the new MSVL Landing Craft for the Army. As well as a laundry list of other smaller aluminum vessels.

I worked in SOCOM for 15 months as a consultant, they have numerous projects like this on going.
