Geez, and I thought the 10cm of snow we got yesterday was annoying...

That looks like it's part of the set of pics that turned up here a couple of years ago.

    Hi,

Kevin -I remember seeing a series of pictures here when I first became a member showing cars etc on a lake front around the Chicago area.

I have no idea where this picture was taken other than to say it is somewhere in the Northern Hemisphere and very cold.

I came across it when looking for further news on the General Cargo ship that sunk last night after being abandoned by it's crew on Sunday night .

    K1W1, what a nice picture :D
Then I am in Maine, we just got about 12" of snow. That looks like some of the pics from an ice storm we had in 1998.:)
  6. I found this pic a few years ago of Canadian fisherman. The surf temperature here in South Florida is down to 75 degrees by the way.

Interesting that the boats in the back ground don't look like they have the same problem. Could it be just behind a breakwater & took a bunch of spray? The sailboat mast on the stbd side indicates that it must have heavy ice on the decks but not up on the mast??

Hey Yachtbrokerguy you are like my wife, she is in Tampa, who called me today to tell me it was 72 and she was standing looking out over the bay. It was 23 here when she called, it is so nice of all of you to keep us posted on your temperature readings. Me one sister wants to put her in a freezer when she comes home and the other one is saving snowballs in her freezer for her. I haven't asked what delivery plan she has for them though.

My line of work is pretty obvious from my user name. I am pretty careful about trying not to promote business here to follow the rules, but maybe someone might decide to come to Florida now to look at boats for sale!!
"Let's see, what choices do I have, shovel the driveway or buy a boat in Florida in February?"
I grew up in the Boston area, was a yacht broker in Connecticut, I have chipped ice off of boat covers, now when I get on board I turn uo the A/C!!

Typical... my wife was in Barbados this time last week, and every day she was there she made sure to send me a text with their morning weather, a photo of herself relaxing on the beach, and a call each day to tell me allll about how hot and sunny it was. LOL

(Meanwhile back here it was sub-freezing every day, snowing most of them, etc etc etc...)

    Women!

    Hi All,

Well, not trying to boast here but I sure feel for those of you stuck in the middle of winter right now. I lived in Canada for 10 years so I know what it feels like.

I'm now based in tropical Phuket, Thailand and the average temperature here all year round is around 30 degrees C and the only weather change is between rain and no rain. We can boat 365 days a year and average water temperature is 28 degrees. Anything below that is considered freezing. We get a bit spoiled over here! Cheers.

I like your average temperatures, I was here in the office all day yesterday and the sun was out. I drove home and found it had snowed there and the difference is only 73 miles. This morning it was 21 degrees and the wind was really coming off the bay, dog looked at me like what is wrong with you being out at 03:00 in this weather. He did his business and then headed in, didn't even want to take the normal walk. Smarter than I am.
