I need to remove the rear gas tank that is under fresh water tank and under the bed in the aft cabin. The gas tank is leaking and it needs to be replaced. Any advice for disassembling the rear bed and removing the water tank and then the gas tank?

I would drain off the fuel, pour in some Dawn, fill with water, drain off into barrel and use pads to remove fuel from the water. Repeat until clear of fuel.

You'll never wash the gas fumes out. Purge it with an inert gas such as argon or nitrogen.

Lots of high volume air blowers, blowing OUT. Fresh air will find a way in.
Turn all power (AC&DCv) off. Run the blowers on deck from shore power.

You are working with GAS fumes. Don't be a statistic, do it rite, proper and safe.

No metal to/on metal tools; no steel on a steel chisel (no sparks).

My cordless tech tool makes internal sparks. When you get low in the bilge, hand tools (screwdrivers) only.

This forum has seen enough gas boo boos.

Ah, take lots of pictures and share here. We like to watch...
