    I'm a newbee to this big boat thing. Where is the fresh water pump on a Carver 500?

    Call Carver and get a copy of the owners manual and all system schematics. Did you buy this boat?

    DK about this particular boat, but I've found them behind the galley fridge, inside caninettes, and just about every place else you can imagine. In the engine room is a pleasant surprise when it happens. Start at the water tank and follow the line from there. It's often behind a hatch, inside a cabinette.

    Very easy. Turn on pump and follow the sound. You can always hear them. Every carver I've owned has had the water pump in the engine room though. 95 % chance it is there.
