I have a 94 Carver aft cabin. I am looking for the light strips that act as accent lighting on the stairs leading down to the salon. The wiring is in place for the original light strips that were with the boat. Does anybody know where I might be able to find these or a good alternative that could use the existing wiring?

Welcome to YF neighbor. Have you tried West Marine or Overton's? These are 12V lights.

Thanks Cap. I have looked at both places and others. Most of what is available now is LED strips, I dont see anything that looks exactly like what was on there but that was 20 years ago.

Check Bargain Bilge in Patchogue and Freeport Marine Supply in Freeport. Beyond that Staten Island Boat Sales in Freeport may be able to give you some leads.

I had the same lights in my 1994 370... I ended up replacing them all when I replaced my carpet with small external mount LED accent lights on the side that the wiring comes through the stair. Works much better!

Thanks RB, did you you run straight from existing wire connections? Don't LED's require a transformer or adapter?

I went straight to the original wiring, no issues.

Staten Island Yacht is no longer a Carver dealer, and in Freeport it's just an open lot. Freeport Marine is a good lead, as is Fred Chall's in Freeport. Our home turf obviously lol.

Thanks for the information, I installed companionway step lights (blue) directly to original wiring and it looks great. Appreciate the response from all..
