Does anyone have any suggestions on getting the sliding door down to the galley to open any easier? I have a 2002 39 MY and it has no rollers, just guides. On my previous Cruiser yacht, they had rollers that were made of plastic so they would not rust.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I do. I have a sliding door, a fairly heavy one, that slides in guides with no rollers. What I have been doing is spraying a silicon spray in the grooves both at the top and at the bottom. After doing this a couple of times, I noticed the hatch was sliding much easier. I'd give that a try.

CRC is good for this. However, given the environment I'd go for naval jelly or vasoline. Won't wash off as fast.
