    Hello,

My name is Hans and I'm in the market for a V65 early 2000's. Are there any particular things I have to look at? Does anyone have some tips for me?
    Many thanks in advance!

I believe they used to fit 1300hp MAN engines on that boat, in the early noughties.
Which were the most stressed version of the old V12 block, requiring a religious maintenance.
For that type/size of boat, I'd rather look at a Cat 3412 powered Pershing 65.

Also the mark.1 Princess V65 is a submarine, calling her a wet boat is an understatement.
Boat used to be fitted with the Man 1050 or 1100hp, and 02/04 models might had the 1200hp or 1300hp.
The Mk.2 from 2006 runs a lot better and has Cog moved further aft, and that one is powered by the 1300.

If you want shafts better to look at a Sunseeker Predator 68, or Fairline Targa 62 GT (nicest hull of the bunch).
A nice Italian alternative would be a Sarnico 65.

I'm no expert of the differences through the year in the V65, but by 2006 the 1300 V12 was already phased out for the CRM series. That's why (together with the fact that I've seen one equipped with those engines) I think it can only be found in boats built in the first half of the noughties.

Regardless, excellent call on the Sarnico 65.
I'm not sure of how many folks over the Pond ever heard of the yard, but considering that the OP is based in Holland it's certainly another boat worth considering - and imho also better built than the V65.

Many thanks for the answers and advice. I'm indeed based in Holland and attracted to the lines of the V65. Looked at the targa 62 and loved the looks of her, but don't like the boxed in feeling with the doors aft. Starts to feel like a salon instead of an open boat. We sail when the roof can be open, but nicely sheltered from the sea-wind as in our part of the world the sea is always cold.

Can I join into this please as I have been looking at firstly, the 2008 V65 but I have moved along to the 2007 V70 which is basically the same boat as the later V65 but with a bit more space.

Re the engines, I note the comments above regarding the MANs but wasn't sure the conclusion. Are we saying then the the later boats such as the one's I am considering have a different MAN engine or are these all the troubled engines you refer too ? In looking there are not many boats available with the CAT C32's but an equal amount with the MTU 1360bhp option. Please could someone add some comment about these options too ?

Any other advise for the V65 vs V70 debate also appreciated.

    Thank you in advance
