    Hi all,

I'm catching a flight to Wisconsin in the morning to visit Burger in preparation of a YF review on 'Sycara IV'. Neil Rabinowitz will be onboard taking pics for Burger. Sycara IV is a significant launch and we're looking forward to providing coverage.

On Thursday, I'm visiting with Mike Kelsey at Palmer-Johnson, then driving back to Milwaukee to catch a late night flight home. Back in the YF saddle by Friday morning.

    Lars has the helm!

I wish you were joining me too Eric. I can't think of anyone better versed to cover this boat! Unless you can hop a flight to MKE tomorrow, let's talk after I get back and lay-up the feature. I'll supply a link to the images and we'll include your historical reflections/impressions in the review.

Yay!! A review of the "Sycara IV". This is going to be exciting and I was waiting for a few meager photos to surface around the 'net and now we are doing a full blown review. Exciting!

To say I eagerly anticipate this would be severe understatement.

The Capt. is a friend of mine, he sent me some aerial photo's the other day. It is quite an impressive yacht! I do not think that it would be right to put them up, as I did not take them and obviously they are copyrighted.
Have a good trip and I look forward to your article.

While waiting to deboard this tube with a tail at MKE airport, I thought I'd share a little YF trivia. First person to get this right, gets a polo shirt...

Has anyone noticed anything vaguely familiar about Sycara?

Looks very similar to the Danish Royal Yacht Dannebrogen.

Negative on Nero. No Danish Royalty either. The answer is right in front of you. ;)

Leave it to the world's best yacht designer to see the subtle elements that were emulated to create YF. Good eye Lars!

Long story on this and I'm typing on my iPhone from the Best Western WiFi in Manitowoc, but when I first received the rendering of Sycara, I called Katie Ross and asked permission to use the Sycara rendering as a basis for YF's new skin. This was circa 2005. Since then, you guys have given the skin life.

Wow!! I did not notice that until you pointed that out. Sure I saw it before but never made the connection with "Sycara IV".

Don't you mean "YF's" contributing members, Mr. Fat Fingers? lol
Have fun on the trip. Wish I was there to shoot it.

Aaron, I tried to call you, but AT&T is giving me no bars here.

Tom, Burger had already contracted Neil to shoot Sycara. If it was up to me, you would be hanging from a harness out of heli.

At my age, I'm lucky to see the keys! At your age, you're lucky to find 'em! ;)

I deserved that, and resemble that statement.
