Does anyone know the bottom thickness for th 43 Post or other? I didn't think to measure it when the thru hulls were being replaced a couple years ago.

    Thanks

IIRC when I drilled my 1981 Post 42 for a transducer, it was about a 3/4" thick core.

Mine has measured from 3/4-7/8 at 4 different places from aft of the engines to midship.

Thanks. I've been using my CAD model to check planned internal component clearances. Around 1" is good.

It's only the transom, tab pockets and main stringers to look at clearances and curvatures for various interceptor options. I don't have the measurements or ambition to do the full hull.

Interceptors on a Post, that's interesting. Winter project?

    Very interesting.
Are you thinking to keep also traditional flaps?
If yes, I think that the two interceptors outboard of the props might be enough.
Also because they are the ones more effective for roll control anyway.

Interested, roll bothers the cat (she rides on helm chart table). Started looking a year ago. Cost to remove tab pockets is prohibitive. I have a personal SolidWorks license so ... Made a model to see what might be physically possible. Clearance of actuator to bottom and main stringers (non-structural filler for tab pocket would require offset actuator to clear stringer to use the space), thru-bolt clearance (Zipwakes couldn't thru-bolt, interfere with stringer), spacers to accommadate flat actuators with curved/raked transom (fastener length/bending, CNC costs) etc.
